Belfry of Tournai
Located about 15 minutes by car from the Your Nature Resort, the Belfry of Tournai is the oldest in Belgium (12th century). Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it looms over the Grand-Place at 72 metres.
After climbing the 257 steps, you will have the opportunity to explore the rooms where the multimedia show takes place, as well as the didactic exhibitions, the dungeon, the bell ringer’s chamber and the carillon that chimes across the city every Sunday in the summer (around 3.30 pm). And once you’re there, take your time and contemplate the most beautiful panorama of Tournai and its surroundings. A history started in 1188.
